Molecular Medicine in Action 2025 Program Application

 

DEADLINE TO APPLY (including teacher nomination letter): Friday, November 8th, 2024

Thank you for your interest in Molecular Medicine in Action. The 2025 program is scheduled for in-person activities on Sunday, February 23rd, through Monday, February 24th, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 *Only 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will be accepted.*

Please note: Large events hosted at Indiana University (including Molecular Medicine in Action) must adhere to university health and safety policies, which remain fluid. Selected applicants and their parents/guardians will be notified of event changes as they arise. 
*IMPORTANT*

*If you are able to accept the invitation to participate in this program, we would ask that you commit to the program in its entirety. We expect all participants to be present for the entire program.*

*You MUST fill in a nominating teacher's name and email address when submitting the application. The nominating teacher must be a past or current teacher. The teacher will be notified via email provided with a link to complete the form. 

*The MMIA program schedule includes a welcome orientation, discussions with IU scientists, and an overnight stay at the Westin hotel in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 23rd. On Monday, February 24th, students and chaperones travel together to the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research on the IU Indianapolis and IU School of Medicine campus. There, they engage in hands-on workstations that explore a variety of research lab based experiments and methodologies with scientists at IU. All costs are covered by IU School of Medicine and Riley Children's Foundation and meals are provided during the program. The planning committee is finalizing event details and will send a full schedule to those accepted into the program.*

*Note: If accepted into the program, your child will be assigned a roommate of the same gender for the overnight stay at the Westin hotel on February 23rd.*
