Following the basic precedent established by TeraGrid and XSEDE, allocation of computational resources (and associated 50 TB default allocation of disk storage) are by default annual allocations, good for 12 months and an automatic grace period of 3 additional months. Researchers are welcome to apply annually for new annual allocations. Allocations of disk storage beyond the default 50 TB are by default annual allocations, with an automatic read-only grace period of 1 additional year. Allocations of tape storage are by default three years, with a 1 year automatic read-only grace period. If NCGAS receives additional funding beyond its current support, we will extend the data storage period further into the future.
