The Indiana Genomics Research Training Program for Data Scientists (INGEN4DS) prepares a diverse cohort of master's degree students in data science to enter the genomics workforce or pursue a doctoral degree in the genomics field.
Support for this program is provided by the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health (R25HG012325) and the IU School of Medicine Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.
Eligibility requirements:
- Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident
- Applicant must be accepted to, or be enrolled and in good standing at, one of the Indiana University (Indianapolis or Bloomington campus) or Purdue University (Indianapolis campus) data science-related master's degree programs (Applied Data Science, Biostatistics, Computational Data Science, Computer Information Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Math-Applied Statistics, Statistical Science).
- Students enrolled in the bioinformatics MS program are NOT eligible for this genomics training program.
