Global Health Scholars Day 2026 Abstract Submission Page

Global Health Scholars Day at IU showcases the excellent work being done by the IU community to improve the care of patients worldwide, research the complexities of global health, and educate learners about the care of local and global populations.

This year, Global Health Scholars Day will be held on May 8, 2026.

We invite submissions from IU students, trainees and faculty in any area of global health related to care/service projects or programs, education, research and case reports. Submissions that describe previously published work are welcome. Submissions should be in abstract form that is not longer than 350 words and structured appropriately for the submission type.

Abstracts are due by March 27, 2026 using the submission page below. The corresponding author will be notified if their abstract is accepted by April 10 and will be invited to submit a poster describing their work at Global Health Scholars Day on May 8th.

All accepted posters must be dropped off at the IU Center for Global Health office (702 Rotary Circle, Suite RO 101, Indianapolis, IN 46202) by Tuesday, May 5.

Abstract Submission Instructions

Abstracts should be attached using the link below. Please follow these instructions when submitting your abstract:

Abstracts should be submitted as a Word document.
Title the file name starting with the corresponding authors' last name followed by submission title - e.g., "Smith_A cross sectional study of..."
Include a full list of authors and their institutional affiliations.
Ensure that the abstract body is no more than 350 words.
Structure your abstract appropriate to your submission type. For research submissions, include an introduction, methods, results and conclusions. For non-research submissions, authors can select a structure that best fits their work but should include a description of the program or activities and lessons learned or implications of the described work.
